if you turned on your PS3 today you probably saw the update notice, to update your software to 2.36. The update itself doesn’t do much other then some performance stability. The reason I mentioned trophies in the title is because Sony say that with the next update 2.4 they will FINALLY be adding the trphy system which is said o be similar the achievements system used in XBOX LIVE. Also in 2.4 the ability to access your XMB in a game.

Hopefully they will look as good as in does in the above picture. Sony hasn’t given an exact date for 2.4, but I’m guessing it’ll be around the same time as E3.
